Event Description

Mastering Your Second Language: Body Language For Better Business

In today’s increasingly over connected, distracted and far-to-disjointed world, hitting the mark with communications is more important than ever. Communications can take many different forms, but communications that are authentic, effective and move others to actions follow some surprisingly simple yet subtle processes. In this session, you will learn the essential essence of effective communication, from the spoken word to the unspoken bonds of our hidden languages, find out what makes us communicate and connect.

Communications is at the core of what Paul Omodt has done throughout his 30-year career. Whether shaping some of the Midwest’s biggest news stories or shaping how some of the products found in every American home find their way into your shopping cart, Paul’s used what he knows to shape your life.

In this session, you will learn:

  • How to apply the basics of communication theory to have a better understanding of how to drive more effective communication.
  • How to implement the triggers that compel authentic action with your audience.
  • How the second language we all speak – yet seldom think about — shapes more than you ever knew.
  • How subtle cues and social prompts may hold more power over you then you previously thought.
